At Prestige Woodworks, we take your schedule as seriously as our craftsmanship.
We’ve built tools and systems that track the pace of every home we work on, providing us with real data to predict timelines and help your project stay on track.

Part of our service and our promise is sharing the risk associated with your custom cabinetry project. These Terms of Timeline delineate our collaborative approach, explicitly defining responsibilities, commitments, and contingency measures to ensure that your cabinetry remains consistent with the progress of your home from inception to completion.

Payment Schedule

1. Queue & Design Deposit - 10% (Non-Refundable)

Required to initiate the design process and reserve your position within our production schedule. This brief agreement is sent along with your invoice and is payable upon receipt.

2. Material Draw - 40%

Covers all materials for your project. This invoice is issued upon your Production Readiness Confirmation (refer to the 6-Week Window below).

3. Delivery Draw - 40%

The delivery draw pertains to the manufacturing of your custom cabinetry. It is issued on the first day of delivery.

To ensure your project remains on schedule, payment is required upon receipt of the manufacturing invoice regardless of site readiness. Should installation be delayed due to site conditions, we prioritize safeguarding your investment through two secure storage options.

On-Site Convenience:

We can store your finished cabinets directly in your project's garage at no additional charge.

Climate-Controlled Protection:

If your garage is not yet accessible or climate-controlled, we offer secure, climate-controlled storage at $600/month to keep your cabinetry in pristine condition. A single storage unit can accommodate up to $50,000 worth of cabinets. Storage fees are invoiced monthly.

4. Final Payment - 10%

Payment is due upon substantial completion, excluding backorders or trade-dependent items. A final invoice will be issued following the site walkthrough.

Timeline Windows

Pre-Lock Window (9+ weeks from install)

If your estimated installation date exceeds nine weeks, we shall adjust it accordingly without incurring any penalty. During this phase, your installation date may vary by ±10 business days due to the inherent unpredictability associated with new construction timelines.

Our project manager conducts biweekly check-ins to verify your build progress, align our schedules, and compare the findings of our tracking tools with your readiness expectations.

You may select to secure your date at any time within this period. Upon doing so, all commitments and contingencies delineated below shall take effect immediately.

Locked-In Window (9 weeks from install)

At nine weeks prior to the scheduled date, you confirm that your project will adhere to the agreed-upon installation timeline. From this stage onwards, your project is finalized on our end, and we proceed according to that schedule.

Upon confirmation, the installation window is reduced to ±5 business days, and all commitments and contingencies become effective immediately.

Field Measure and Final Prep Window (6 weeks from install)

At six weeks prior to the scheduled date, you will receive a Production Readiness Confirmation Email. By responding, you confirm that the cabinet installation is planned for approximately six weeks from now and initiate the 40% Material Draw invoice. Your installation window narrows to ±3 business days.

Measurement & Readiness Requirements

To ensure an optimal fit and finish, we prefer to conduct measurements after the drywall installation is complete. Should your appointment date be scheduled and the six-week period be reached before drywall completion, we may need to perform pre-drywall measurements.

By proceeding, you accept the following:

  • You'll sign off on measurements and 3D drawings, confirming their accuracy.

  • Prestige Woodworks is not responsible for variances between framing and finished dimensions.

  • Delays caused by on-site obstructions or last-minute changes are billed at our current subcontracted installer hourly rate.

  • Any change orders resulting from inaccurate measurements or design changes will incur additional costs and extended timelines.

Installation Week  (1 week from install)

Once your job enters the 1-week window, your installation date is firm ±0 business days. Our project manager will verify your start date and delivery schedule directly with you.

Contingencies

If your home is not prepared when our team arrives, the subsequent measures are the result of your choice to maintain the scheduled installation date.

Immediate steps:

  • Cabinets will be delivered to a safe, accessible location of your choosing, at your expense.

  • You'll sign off on quantity and condition upon receipt.

  • Your 40% Delivery Draw becomes due, bringing your total paid to 90%.

From there, you choose one of two paths:

OPTION A

Independent Installation:

Hire a private installer to finalize the project. Prestige Woodworks will apply a 10% discount to your project's remaining balance and deem our scope of work complete.

OPTION B

Prestige-Managed Storage & Reinstallation:

Utilize Prestige Woodworks to oversee the entire process. We will facilitate the transportation and storage of your cabinets and coordinate delivery and installation upon your home's readiness. A subcontracted installer will be hired and managed on your behalf. A 5% management fee will be added to your project total to cover the costs of delivery, storage, rescheduling, and project management.
